
EmpowerHER Mentorship Program
Program Mission: To empower women in the LBM industry to achieve their full potential by providing them with mentorship, guidance, and support in their professional development journey.
Program Information
Program Structure:
Duration: 12 months, with the option to renew mentorship relationships for an additional term.
Mentorship Types: One-on-One Mentorship and Group Mentoring.
Participant Recruitment:
Mentors: Experienced professionals, both women and men, from various segments of the LBM industry (e.g., suppliers, distributors, retailers).
Mentees: Women at different career stages within the LBM industry, from entry-level to mid-level positions.
Mentor and Mentee Matching:
Mentors and mentees will be matched based on career goals, areas of expertise, and compatibility.
A mentorship coordinator will facilitate the matching process, taking into account both parties' preferences and availability.
Training and Orientation:
All participants will attend a program orientation session to understand program goals, expectations, and guidelines.
Mentors and mentees will receive training materials and access to online resources to enhance their mentoring skills and make the most of the program.
Goal Setting:
Mentors and mentees will collaboratively set clear and achievable goals at the beginning of the mentorship relationship.
These goals can relate to career development, leadership skills, industry knowledge, or personal growth.
Regular Meetings:
Mentor-mentee pairs will meet at least once a month, either in person or virtually, to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Group mentoring sessions will be held quarterly to facilitate peer learning and networking.
Evaluation and Feedback:
Quarterly feedback surveys will be conducted to assess the effectiveness of the program and gather input for improvements.
The program coordinator will be available to address any concerns or questions from participants.
Networking Events:
WLBM will host an annual summit, bringing together mentors, mentees, and industry leaders for networking and knowledge sharing.
Local networking events and webinars will be organized throughout the year to promote connections within the LBM community.
Recognition and Awards:
The program will recognize outstanding mentors and mentees with awards at the annual summit.
Success stories and achievements will be celebrated through program newsletters and social media.
